WHAT IS HYPNOTHERAPY?
Hypnotherapy is a way to allow us to bypass the conscious mind and communicate beneficial ideas directly to the subconscious mind in an environment where it is highly impressionable.
As humans, we had very little choice over what was programmed into our minds when we were children. And as we continue to journey through life, we often pick up unhealthy habits and behaviours which do not serve us.
Unless we change these patterns at the subconscious level, they will continue to drive our decisions, behaviours and results.
With hypnosis, we have a tool to take our power back and create new beliefs, habits and perceptions which will serve us, not work against us.
Hypnosis is no different from your normal state of consciousness
You are still lucid and aware. You will not feel 'hypnotized', or zonked out. You will feel deeply relaxed and highly focused. Being in a trance is a natural state and will feel pleasant and familiar. The most important thing to know is that you are in control. You will only accept suggestions that are in line with your own internal values.
The feeling of being in a trance can be wildly freeing and highly pleasurable. You might experience a heightened imagination, or an altered sense of time. The experience really is unique to each person.
